Listen to books in your own voice
Standard TTS can feel distant. Your own voice makes long reading more familiar and immersive.
Every signed-in member can create multiple personal voices and hear their fixed previews. Pro and trialing members can apply them to Read Aloud and Explain for 120 minutes per membership-month window.
Create my voiceChoose a working path for books, bedtime stories, Voice Gift, audiobook parts, or language practice—and see the safety boundary before you begin.

Standard TTS can feel distant. Your own voice makes long reading more familiar and immersive.

Parents who travel or live apart still want to share the quiet ritual of a bedtime story.

A partner or family member’s voice can make reading feel close and comforting.

Authors want consistent narration without recording every revised chapter again.

A consistent, familiar voice can make repetition easier across different languages.

Some voices carry deep personal meaning, which makes consent and control especially important.
Sign in, allow microphone access, choose a passage from 10 languages, and read naturally for 3–30 seconds.
Confirm that the recording is your own voice and that you authorize creation of the private voice clone.
CastReader builds a reusable private voice prompt and attaches it to your account.
Play the server-set fixed preview after signing in. Pro can apply the voice in Read Aloud and Explain across 10 supported languages for 120 minutes per membership month.
Clear answers about signed-in creation, fixed previews, Pro application minutes, recording, safety, and regional data boundaries.
After signing in, Free can create, manage, delete, and fixed-preview multiple personal voices. Fixed previews use a server-set script and do not consume the 120-minute allowance. Free cannot apply a clone to arbitrary text, Read Aloud, or Explain.
Pro can use personal or explicitly authorized voices in Read Aloud and Explain for 120 minutes per membership-month window; the tool shows the service's exact reset date. Accounts in a Pro trial have the same voice-cloning access as other active Pro accounts.
CastReader counts the actual duration of successfully generated cloned audio. The allowance is not a voice-creation count, text-character count, or playback count.
The tool shows the exact reset date returned by the service for your current allowance cycle. It does not guess a date in the browser.
No. Failed, cancelled, timed-out, or quality-rejected requests do not use minutes. Idempotent retries are not charged twice, and replaying cached audio does not use minutes again.
All signed-in Free and Pro members can create multiple personal voices. Creation is not a Pro benefit and does not consume the 120-minute application allowance; only a concurrent creation task or a technical or recording-quality issue may temporarily prevent a new submission.
Deleting removes that voice and its stored reference and revokes related Voice Gifts. It does not affect your other voices or change your ability to create more.
The same voice can be used for English, Chinese, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Russian. Cross-language pronunciation and naturalness vary with the language and recording quality.
Only clone your own voice or a voice whose owner has given explicit authorization. For another living person, use the Voice Gift flow so they sign in, record, and authorize access themselves. Posthumous recreation is not supported.
Record directly through the browser microphone for 3–30 seconds in a quiet room, using a natural pace and the prompt shown in your interface language. CastReader selects or processes a clear segment; 10–20 seconds usually gives a stronger reference.
No. The current public tool accepts only a direct microphone recording. It does not provide an upload flow for existing voice files.
Open the signed-in voice-cloning tool, select the saved voice, and choose Delete voice. This deletes that stored reference and revokes related Voice Gifts without affecting your other voices.
Your voice and current selection stay saved. CastReader shows that the allowance is exhausted, displays the reset date, and offers a path to choose a standard voice. It does not silently replace your voice or show an upgrade wall to an existing Pro member.
Yes. A trialing Pro account has the same personal-voice access as an active paid Pro account, including the 120-minute allowance for Read Aloud and Explain.
No. Global and China users, sign-ins, storage, databases, and compute are fully isolated. Accounts, libraries, voices, and voice data do not sync across regions.
Pro can download successful cloned audio in tools that provide a WAV download or export. The Free fixed preview is for playback only and does not unlock arbitrary-text downloads.
Voice cloning can be sensitive. CastReader keeps ownership, sharing, revocation, and deletion controls visible.

Turn an authorized manuscript into bounded, reviewable WAV parts.
Prepare a short family story clip in the recording parent’s own voice.
Invite a living person to record and authorize their voice, or share your existing clone with one named recipient.
Use one familiar clone across the 10 supported output languages.
Open PDF, EPUB, DOCX and text locally, then choose your cloned voice.
Choose the right workflow for text, documents, ebooks and webpages.
