WORKED EXAMPLES

Compare the details that change what a sentence means

A polite request with a deadline

Original

Could you send the document by Friday? If you need more time, please let me know.

Sample audio · CastReader Heart

Saved translation

金曜日までに書類を送っていただけますか?もっと時間が必要な場合は、お知らせください。

Sample audio · CastReader Alpha

What to check in the result

金曜日までに preserves “by Friday,” and 送っていただけますか keeps the request polite. The second sentence invites the recipient to ask for more time; it does not change the deadline automatically.

An original sample passage, translated by the CastReader translation service on 2026-11-04. A new translation may use different wording.

Try “A polite request with a deadline” in the example selector above

A new day, the same meeting time

Original

The meeting has been moved from Tuesday to Thursday. The time is still 10 a.m.; only the day has changed.

Saved translation

会議は火曜日から木曜日に変更されました。時間は引き続き午前10時で、変更されたのは曜日のみです。

What to check in the result

Thursday replaces Tuesday. The meeting is still at 10 a.m. The translation must not imply that the time changed or that there are two meetings.

Politeness depends on the situation

A message to a friend and a message to a customer may need different Japanese endings. This tool has no separate formality setting. Review the result for your recipient rather than assuming it is appropriate for every situation.

Keep the condition intact

In the sample, “by Friday” is the requested deadline. Asking the recipient to say if they need more time is a separate condition; it does not automatically extend the deadline. Check that both ideas remain distinct.

Listen for phrase boundaries

Try 0.75× to hear a Japanese sentence in smaller phrases, then return to 1×. A synthetic voice is useful for listening practice, but does not certify a name’s pronunciation or natural conversational intonation.

Before you begin

Can I choose polite or casual Japanese?

This version has no formality selector. It translates the supplied passage, so review the style for the relationship and setting before sending it.

Will proper names stay in English?

A machine translation may keep a name in Latin letters or render it in katakana. Check names, product names and addresses against the original.

Can I translate the result back into English?

Yes. Use Swap languages after translation. The Japanese result becomes the new source, ready to translate into English. This comparison is not an accuracy guarantee.
