WORKED EXAMPLES

Compare the details that change what a sentence means

An invitation and a fallback plan

Original

내일 오전 9시에 역 앞에서 만나요. 비가 오면 근처 카페에서 기다릴게요.

Saved translation

Let's meet in front of the station tomorrow at 9 a.m. If it rains, I'll wait at a nearby café.

What to check in the result

오전 9시 becomes 9 a.m.; 비가 오면 keeps the rain condition. The friendly polite Korean endings do not map to a single English suffix, so compare the overall tone as well as the facts.

Try “An invitation and a fallback plan” in the example selector above

A reservation change with a condition

Original

예약을 변경하려면 방문 하루 전까지 연락해 주세요. 당일에는 변경이 어려울 수 있습니다.

Saved translation

To change your reservation, please contact us at least one day before your visit. Changes may be difficult on the day of your visit.

What to check in the result

The request is to contact the business at least a day before the visit. “May be difficult” is a warning about same-day changes, not an absolute statement that changes are forbidden.

Try “A reservation change with a condition” in the example selector above

Read the Korean source

Keep Korean sentence endings and the speaker relationship in context. Subjects may be omitted, while endings can carry politeness that a short phrase hides.

Review the English result

Check articles, singular/plural forms and added pronouns. English may need an explicit subject that was only implied in the original.

Listen in English

Listen for sentence stress and contractions. A slower voice can help separate “I’ll”, “I’d” and “I’ve”, but pronunciation alone does not establish meaning.

Before you begin

How do I translate Korean to English and hear it?

This page starts with Korean as the source and English as the target. Paste text or try the example, then translate. Press Read translation after the result appears. Translation and playback are separate actions.

Why is English reading unavailable on my device?

Reading uses voices supplied by your device. Without a matching English voice exposed to the browser, the reading button is disabled. Translation and copying remain available. You may need to reopen the page after installing a voice.

Can I translate English back into Korean?

After translating, swap to use the English result as the new original, or open the reverse-direction page. Back-translation helps compare wording but does not prove the first translation is correct.
