WORKED EXAMPLES

Compare the details that change what a sentence means

Museum hours and the last entry time

Original

博物馆上午9点开放,星期一闭馆。请在下午4点前入场。

Saved translation

The museum opens at 9 a.m. and is closed on Mondays. Please enter before 4 p.m.

What to check in the result

Check three separate facts: opens at 9 a.m., closed on Mondays, and entry before 4 p.m. The last entry time is not necessarily the museum’s closing time.

An original sample passage, translated by the CastReader translation service on 2026-11-04. A new translation may use different wording.

Try “Museum hours and the last entry time” in the example selector above

An estimated delivery date

Original

包裹预计周四送达,不是保证周四到达。如果周五仍未收到,请联系我们。

Saved translation

The package is expected to arrive on Thursday; this is not a guarantee that it will arrive on Thursday. If you still haven’t received it by Friday, please contact us.

What to check in the result

Expected arrival is not a promise. Thursday is the estimate; Friday is the point at which the recipient is asked to contact the sender if the package is still missing.

Read the Chinese (Simplified) source

Chinese does not mark tense through verb endings. Retain time words such as 明天 and 已经, and check whom omitted subjects refer to.

Review the English result

Check articles, singular/plural forms and added pronouns. English may need an explicit subject that was only implied in the original.

Listen in English

Listen for sentence stress and contractions. A slower voice can help separate “I’ll”, “I’d” and “I’ve”, but pronunciation alone does not establish meaning.

Before you begin

How do I translate Chinese (Simplified) to English and hear it?

This page starts with Chinese (Simplified) as the source and English as the target. Paste text or try the example, then translate. Press Read translation after the result appears. Translation and playback are separate actions.

Why is English reading unavailable on my device?

Reading uses voices supplied by your device. Without a matching English voice exposed to the browser, the reading button is disabled. Translation and copying remain available. You may need to reopen the page after installing a voice.

Can I translate English back into Chinese (Simplified)?

After translating, swap to use the English result as the new original, or open the reverse-direction page. Back-translation helps compare wording but does not prove the first translation is correct.
